First Project

The first project consisted in, given the answers and final scores of a set of students in multiple choice exam, deduce the right answers for each question. Two approaches are taken, a genetic algorithm and a regression method, both obtaining similar results.

Files in the First Project

The files in the First Project are:

1. TareaFinal1.pdf: Report of the first project (in Spanish), contains the description of the first algorithm and the regression method. THe results and the conclusions are comented.
2. Q1251617.RData: Data regarding the answers of the students and their answers to the multiple choice exam (5 options) and their scores.
3. Tareabreve.R: R script with the algorithm and the regression method.

Second Project

In this project a model was created to classify seeds according to features of their kernels such as the width or the lenght. Two techniques were attempted: a classification tree and a linear discriminant analysis.

Second Project Files

The files in the second project are:

1. TareaFinal2.pdf: Report of the first project (in Spanish), contains the description of the used functions, and appendixes with more models.
2. data.txt: Data of the kernel seeds.
3. TareaFinalscript.R: R script with the implementation of the different models.

Trabajos Finales de la Asignatura Minería de Datos

Aquí se encuetran los trabajos finales realizados para la asignatura de Minería de Datos.

Primer Trabajo

En primer lugar se realizó un trabajo corto, que consistía en, dado las respuestas y las puntuaciones finales de los alumnos a un exámen de tipo test, averiguar el patrón de respuesta correcto. Para la realización del trabajo se usó en principio un algortimo genético, y posteriormente se aplicó un método de regresión, para obtener los mismos resultados.

Archivos Primer Trabajo

Los archivos del primer trabajo son:

1. TareaFinal1.pdf: Informe del trabajo, que contiene la explicación del algoritmo genético y del método de regresión. Se comentan además los resultados y las conclusiones
2. Q1251617.RData: Datos con las respuestas de los alumnos a las preguntas del exámen tipo test (5 opciones por pregunta) y sus puntuaciones finales
3. Tareabreve.R: Script de R con el algoritmo y método de regresión.

Segundo Trabajo

En este trabajo se trató de crear un modelo de clasificación para semillas, dadas características de su núcleo como el ancho, largo,... Se usaron principalmente dos técnicas: un árbol de clasificación y modelo discriminante lineal con notable éxito.

Archivos Segundo Trabajo

Los archivos del segundo trabajo son:

1. TareaFinal2.pdf: Informe del trabajo, que contiene la descripción de los comandos usados, además de varios anexos con mas modelos.
2. data.txt: Datos de los nucleos de las semillas.
3. TareaFinalscript.R: Script de R con las órdenes para la realización de los diferentes modelos.
