Murdoch Block
News Corp’s partisan campaign coverage is harmful to democracy.
Fed up with the abysmal treatment by the Murdoch media during the Australian Bushfires I decided to make a blocklist so I never have to engage with Murdoch propaganda again.
Thus, this collection of URLs and blocklists for News Corp websites, to remove unpleasant surprises.
Installation (Adblock)
To block News Corp sites, you can subscribe to this list on desktop using Adblock Plus:
- Make sure you have Adblock Plus installed
- 👉 Click the link to subscribe 👈
Or manually enter the url into your compatible ad blocker:

Installation (Hosts file)
You can add this list to your hosts file to block News Corp domains completely:
- Download the hosts entries
- Copy and paste the entries into your hosts file (if you don't know how to do this, ask a friend)
Installation (iPad/iPhone)
No idea how to make this work. If you know how to do it please submit a PR.

- Proof that this is a News Corp publication.
This repo does not aim to tackle fake news as a whole, only that from News Corp/Rupert Murdoch publications.
