nix-shell does not work well with `make_derivation`

There is something I need to do in make_derivation to make it more like mkDerivation I think. Right now, weird slashes are displayed in my prompt, the up arrow does not work, and tab completion does not work when I do something like nix-shell -A pkgs.i686-w64-mingw32.pavr2.
