UK SSP's datasets

Data from the UK SSPs in spatial formats. All data available in the geopackage (.gpkg) format.

A number of datasets are available, but this is not an extensive list, with more datasets being added over the coming months covering further SSP variables and different levels of disaggregation for all variables where possible.

Population

Population data for the UK. The total population at decadal intervals for the 5 SSP scenarios from 2020 to 2100 using a 1km grid.

Demography

Demographic population breakdown. At Local Authority District resolution for the 5 SSP scenarios with 19 age classes.

Employment

Employment counts. Count of number of people employed in each of the 17 sectors for each year (from 2020-2100) at Local Authority District level for all five SSPs.

Urbanisation

Development of land. Presents status of land development (an artificial surface) or not for the UK for all five SSPs at decadal intervals (2020-2100) on a 1km grid.

GVA

Gross Value Added. A measure of economic productivity. Covers all 5 SSPS at LAD (Local Authority Districts) resolution at a yearly temporal scale for the UK.

Health

Health measured via life expectancy at birth (in years). Covers all 5 SSPS at LAD (Local Authority Districts) resolution at a decadal (2020-2100) temporal scale for the UK.
