Sharing document between two processes

An example about sharing document between parent and child instance (using call activity).

• The initial document value is defined by user uploading a file when instantiating parent process.

• Document can be download in child process step. User can also upload a new version in child process step.

• When execution goes back to parent process latest version of the document as uploaded in child process can be download.

Compatibility

Build and tested with Bonita BPM 7.3.3 Community Edition. Should be compatible with any later version and with Subscription edition.

Known limitation

This solution duplicate the document content:

• When sending document from parent to child process

• When sending back the document from child to parent process
