This script automates the setup process for the astrominer software on a Linux system. It performs the following tasks:
- Updates and upgrades the system using
apt-get. - Installs
wgetutility. - Downloads the astrominer package from the official GitHub release.
- Extracts the downloaded package.
- Modifies the
rpc_miner.shfile with the desired contents. - Sets the
rpc_miner.shfile as executable usingchmod +x.
Please note that running this script assumes you have the necessary permissions to perform system updates and installations.
- Clone or download this repository to your local machine.
- Open a terminal and navigate to the script's directory.
- Make the script executable with the following command: chmod +x setup.sh
- Run the script using the command: ./setup.sh
