A major mode for editing Boo code in emacs written from scratch rather than using another language (python) as a base since that ultimately appeared to be a maintainence issue.
These items are what still needs to be done with highest priority first:
Create an auto-indent-function that runs when the user presses their indentation key or when the electric indentation is triggered.
The mode should rebind indent-for-tab-command
to its own to enable some features.
I don’t find syntax highlighting very valuable but it should still be implemented.
Pretty much the main thing that’s valuable about syntax highlighting :) don’t
wanna read code that was actually commented out with a /*
two thousand lines
up.
Instead of having a list of every keyword, a much simpler heuristic to match is to simply highlight the first word of any line that ends with a colon.
