A microsoft Excel Macro to list available COM ports on a windows PC
Create a Microsoft Macro enabled spreasheet. Add this macro using Developer->Visual Basic then add a button to fire the macro.
The macro scans for com ports 1 through 16. Column C contains the manufacturer's name - column D was just my notes for devices I have used.
