The Bionic Engineering and Assistive Robotics Pediatric Assistive Ware (BEAR PAW) is a dexterous pediatric prosthetic hand sized for the 8-year-old population and capable of multiple hand grasp configurations. The BEAR PAW has 6 degrees of actuation (individual digit flexion and thumb palmar abduction) and is an underactuated hand with 11 degrees of freedom. The figure below give a general overview of the BEAR PAW.
The hardware of the BEAR PAW is released under the Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0 license. The software of the BEAR PAW is released under the GNU General Public License v3. Both licenses have local copies available in the repository under the hardware and software folders.
