Who are the leaders?

GitHub Community Leaders are technical and non-technical individuals who help drive the developer community in their region through GitTogether events, virtual live streams, and other activities. They are passionate about fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and building strong developer communities.

Interested in becoming a leader?

If you're passionate about building and nurturing developer communities, we'd love to have you join our program! Here's how you can get started:

  1. Review the GitHub Community Leaders Program Guidelines to understand the responsibilities and expectations.
  2. Fill out the self-nomination form.
  3. Our team will review your application and get back to you within 2 weeks.
  4. If shortlisted, you'll be invited for a video interview to discuss your application and community engagement plan in more detail. Upon acceptance, you'll go through an onboarding process and self-paced training to equip you with the necessary skills and resources to succeed as a community leader.
  5. If accepted, you'll receive an onboarding package and be connected with a DevRel lead to guide you through your journey.
