DarkCold is a very y2k theme. It's glossy, skeuomorphic and has a lot of gradients.

To use the theme follow these simple steps.
- GTK 3.20+
- Download the repo, or clone it:
git clone https://github.com/AndreiMiculita/darkcold.git
- Put it in your
~/.themes
directory2.a. Optionally, delete themv darkcold ~/.themes
darkcold/.git
directory to save space.rm -rf darkcold/.git
- Activate it as a theme from your DE's settings.
For the Firefox theme:
- Find your Firefox profile directory:
You can find it by hovering over the profile name in the profile manager. It should be something like
firefox --profilemanager
~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx.default-release
. You can also find it by going toabout:support
in Firefox. - Make a
chrome
directory in your profile directory if it doesn't exist.mkdir ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx/chrome
- Copy the
userContent.css
file to thechrome
directory.cp userContent.css ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx/chrome
There's no roadmap at the moment.

This was forked because the original maintainer is inactive, and PRs are not being merged.
Notable changes from the original:
- Add distinct unmaximize button for Metacity (the original theme had the same button for maximize and unmaximize)
- Format css files (still not fully formatted)
- This project also includes the Cinnamon theme, including a PR that was left unmerged there. The following changes were made to the Cinnamon theme:
- Add padding to window list item box
- Fix applet hover so box and text light up together
