Two works developed for the course of Nonlinear Models in the first semester of 2017 taught by professor Josmar Mazucheli at DEs/UEM.
This paper presents the analysis of data from section 1.1.3 of the book written by Huet et al. (2004).. This dataset was derived from an experiment which used an ELISA test to detect the presence of antibodies in calf and cow serum. The problem is restricted to comparing antibody levels in two serum samples collected in May and June of a given cow.
In this paper the aim is to introduce an alternative model to that proposed by Zeviani et al. (2013) in chapter 8 in order to model the mass growth (g) of guava fruits by means of nonlinear models with modeling of the variance.
