Hi,
Before I order an Arduino pro I wonder if I can use a Arduino nano that I have laying around to build the XUM1541?

+1!
I'm ordering a Arduino Pro but as it take a long time to receive it I want do a quick try with a Arduino Nano that I already have.
The question is if it's possible use it simply redefining the I/O pinout considering I do not need the parallel connection.
Thanks, Carlo

That is what I was thinking as well. Is the source available of the microcode because I only saw the hex file for the pro micro. If it is available then it might be possible to configure the output. The nano has less pins but enough I think (at least for serial).
