Restore selected tab, pane, and cursor position when attaching to a Zellij session

I get disconnected from my Zellij session often (ssh connection drops). Zellij does a great job at restoring basically all of my session tabs, layout, even content. However, thing it is missing is to restore the last selected tab, pane, and cursor position.
Currently each time I reattach it takes me to the first tab I have open, and I have to navigate back to where I was working which is an inconvenience. I think this would be a very nice feature suitable for core.
If you can point me in the right direction for where state is serialized and stored/restored, I would even be happy to take this on myself!
