Use remote redux devtools for a custom store using connect

I don't see a similar interface for using remote redux devtools as there is for the normal redux devtools, i.e. by using connect. Is it possible to use remote redux devtools for custom stores as described here: https://medium.com/@zalmoxis/redux-devtools-without-redux-or-how-to-have-a-predictable-state-with-any-architecture-61c5f5a7716f?
