Is there an easier way to copy from one panel to another without copy to clipboard?

More or less the title. As far as I can tell from the tutorial, the only way to copy a file/folder from one panel to another is to copy the file/folder to clipboard and then paste it into the other panel. Is there a shortcut or command that can be used to just copy the current file/folder to the next panel?
none for now :(
Any plans for this? I really miss direct commands for copying/moving files/folders to opposite pane.
I think it may be added in the future, so I will put this on my todo list!
