Poor performance on Electron apps

Hi!
It seems as though this extension causes large performance drops whenever it is enabled for Electron applications (such as Discord or Slack).
It's most obvious when dragging windows around. Additionally, it causes performance drops in rendering everything, not just the Electron windows.
For now, a good workaround is to add all Electron applications to the blacklist, which seems to make everything work nicely.
Is there a reason why this is the case?
It seems as though updating my nvidia graphics drivers (from version 515 to 525) has fixed this issue. I'm not sure why, though.
