v2 needs more extensive testing

@wshager if your still interested, the v2 version with 'focus' is starting to shape up, and I could use some help verifying soon
I honestly think that this approach is way too complex. The original spirit of rrb was simplicity. I rather spend time on working with what I can wrap my head around, so, sorry, probably not interested.
