changing default branch from `master` to `main`

This is an announcement that I'm planning to change the default branch on this repo from master to main. I'll keep the master branch around for the foreseeable future so it doesn't break anyone that's building from that branch, but new commits will not be pushed there.

I'll also update the docker config to auto-build the latest image from the main branch.
