org-noter-insert-precise-notes is almost there; but is it possible to add lines, arrows, circles and squares as notes like in Skim?

I have a whole bunch of documents whose script run vertically. This makes the indicator flashed when calling org-noter-sync-current-note not very helpful.

This is related to #48.

As far as I am aware, the author of this repo is not actively maintaining it (not that he is obligated to), and so this will not be implemented indefinitely. The community surrounding this repo is what keeps it alive, so hopefully at some point someone will be able to deal with issues and PRs and improve its quality. Nevertheless, I like to thank the author for creating this repo as it helped a lot with my research project.

@auroranil is there a fork of this package somewhere? Curious what you mean by the "community".

Kudos to weirdNox for creating this package, it's amazing.

Have a look at this fork and its own forks: https://github.com/ahmed-shariff/org-noter

In particular, look at this fork: https://github.com/c1-g/org-noter-plus-djvu

Excellent! I wonder if there's a way to pin this for future explorer.

This fork appears to be well ahead, this is exactly what I've been looking for:

There is a module in the other/ directory called org-noter-nov-overlay that highlights your notes with overlays in nov-mode
