Autosave, ":w" and other global write commands not saving PDF annotations

Thanks for this awesome package! I'm having an issue described in fuxialexander/org-pdftools#68 (comment) where annotations in org-noter pdf buffer do not autosave. Furthermore, annotations are not saved when ":w" or any other global write or save command is called from the .org buffer (e.g. the annotations are not saved unless a save/write command is explicitly called from the pdf buffer). I do not experience this behaviour when using pdf-tools alone. I'm still learning to use these tools so this could be an issue with my config, or user error but I don't think it is the expected behaviour of either org-noter or org-pdftools.
