Using both CartoDB and MySQL
Note: SSH to local system to add php call first - don't use your damned bluehost account for benchmarking!
A bit surprising: the PHP returned the GeoJSON in 0.8 seconds and the CartoDB did in 1.4 seconds. I find that unlikely to scale.
