Watchface will no longer load to vivoactive 3

I've been using only your watchface since I purchased watch. Today after recharging it, the watchface was was old version. I tried to change it back to the crystal-face and it wasn't available. Instead only a circle with "IQ" in middle and a yellow exclamation mark.
I tried uninstalling, syncing, reinstalling, syncing and still the same. Not sure what has gone wrong.
I reviewed closed issues #110 and #109. But I'm not getting same issue. That is, I cannot get mine reinstalled again.
I'm not sure how to see logs. In issue #110 you suggest... (/GARMIN/APPS/LOGS/CIQ_LOG.yml on the watch). I do not know how to access this.
Thanks for any help. I really, really don't want to switch to a new face.
Also, I removed the weather widget as well and it had no impact.
I attached my watch via usb to my laptop, before and after installing the watchface. Both times I looked in the /GARMIN/APPS/LOGS location and it was empty.
Ok - after a recent automated s/w upgrade to my watch, the watchface now works again. Not sure what was updated on watch. Some current numbers below:
- software version: SW 7.30
- gps version: 2.50
- tsc version: 2.10
- sensor version: 6.60
- WHR version: 20.03.31
- Connect IQ: 3.1.8
