unknown directive "MainRule" in /etc/nginx/naxsi_core.rules

Details

  • NGINX version: 1.22.0
  • NAXSI version: yesterday clone from git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/wargio/naxsi.git
  • Did you install NAXSI from a package manager? NO
  • Operating System: ubuntu 22.04

my Installation Commands(like https://github.com/wargio/naxsi?tab=readme-ov-file )

$ git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/wargio/naxsi.git
$ wget --no-clobber -O nginx.tar.gz "https://nginx.org/download/nginx-1.22.0.tar.gz"
$ mkdir nginx-source
$ tar -C nginx-source -xzf nginx.tar.gz --strip-components=1
$ cd nginx-source
./configure  --prefix=/etc/nginx --add-dynamic-module=../naxsi/naxsi_src --pid-path=/run/nginx.pid
$ make

Nginx Logs

after execute of sudo /etc/nginx/sbin/nginx -t

Add any other detail about the problem here.

I added load_module /etc/nginx/modules/ngx_http_naxsi_module.so; to the first line of /etc/nginx/nginx.conf, and it fixed the issue.

it is indeed missing the load_module. i will close this issue.
