Introduction to Linux
This is a basic introductory course material prepared for the Open Science Workshop.
Command line
We will use the command line accessible via RStudio or Jupyter Notebooks servers set up for this course.
To follow these resources in your own computer, you need a Linux terminal. Here are your options:
- If you have any Linux based OS, you are good to go
- If you have Windows 10, follow the instructions in this article to set up Linux shell.
For Windows 7 or 8,
- Install git bash using these instructions
- Install Cygwin using these instructions
