Mac OS X port

We need a Mac OS X port, preferably one that works with both PPC and x86 Macs. Not sure what this entails or if we must add ObjC code to the repo to make this work.
Looks like Mac doesn't have clock_gettime, but this workaround might be of some use.
At any rate, I don't have a Mac, so this one's beyond me.
