[Question] When verifying a presentation, is it expected that all VC have also been verified?

When a request hits the /presentations/verify endpoint, am I supposed to interpret the response assuming that each contained VC have also been verified during that call?
Closing this issue as the mentioned endpoints are being removed from the spec in favor of oauth presentation exchange.
