Horrible performance issues

As an engineer, I love redstone. Especially large flying machine based quarries. Unfortunately, even with the newest version featuring multithreading fps drops to 10 when I turn on my 32-section every tick piston sound generator (32 sounds per tick). Playing with less rays is not an option for me.
