Scrolling with mouse wheel is slooow

Scrolling with the mouse wheel is really slow and annoying, as it scrolls very few pixels at a time compared to the distance "moved" when rolling the mouse wheel.
(Windows 7)
I have no chances to try it on Win7.
BTW I think this is related to the sync-scrolling implementation, which I am not very proud of.
Would you like to review it and suggest improvements?
I did not have a chance to look at this beyond just trying the app and noticing it was really slow to mousewheel-scroll as it is scrolling one pixel per mouse wheel move, instead of just moving an entire line or so.
I.e. it makes you have to scroll all N font-size pixels units of mouse wheel to scroll one line, which is what makes it slow. Maybe that gives you some hints? :)
I will take a look as soon as I'll have time.
