The previous issue raised and marked as closed #649 doesn't seem to be fixed.

There is an open PR that fixes this, and just wanted to re-address it so it doesn't go under the radar 🙏

This should be fixed now as of v22.0.0, verified with a CommonJS example in examples/example-projects/nodejs-commonjs/.
