Does not sync the QT with GTK

So I am one of the developers of TROMjaro OS https://www.tromjaro.com/ and we struggle quite a lot to create a consistent desktop. So far we have used the qt5-styleplugins plus the qt6gtk2-git packages and added export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME="gtk2" to the etc/profile.d/script.sh. And that have worked for a few years now. But now I am trying to replace the qt5-styleplugins with qt5gtk2 https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qt5gtk2 and it does not seem to work. Adding qt5gtk2 or qt6gtk2 to the same etc/profile.d/script.sh has no effect. Quotes or not....
I've been testing for the past days and I cannot make it work....
Environment variable QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE should be removed before usage.
We do not use this.
Any help?
Wait it does not work with the qt5-styleplugins either....I must have done something wrong. Investigating....
False alarm, it seems some QT apps do not sync with some themes, even variations of the same theme. Got confused.
