Package mp3gain tool for on device jobs

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Using mp3gain over a share from the device results to a very slow job with high
cpu load from nfs / smbfs
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
My wish is a installed mp3gain that can run by cron in the night, so every new
music will be processed automatically.
What Alt-F version are you using? Have you flashed it?
0.1RC2 flashed
What is the box hardware revision level? A1, B1 or C1? (look at the label
at the box bottom)

What is your disk configuration? Standard, RAID (what level)...
Raid-1, 2x WD Caviar Green 500gb
What operating system are you using on your computer? Using what browser?
Ubuntu 12.04, firefox 13.0

Done.
But don't know if it is worth releasing, as running mp3gain on a 1.6MB mp3 file:
mp3gain /Public/RO/Music/BB\ King/Kansas\ City,\ 1972/Introduction.mp3
took 6 minutes and 25 seconds on a idle DNS-323, and 0.9 sec on my desktop
computer...
When will we learn?
