Play/pause action doesn't seem to work

The play/pause action doesn't seem to work. The individual play and pause actions work though.
: Samsung Note 10 running Android 10 : Audible, Google music and YouTube premium
The media buttons seem to only work with Googles play music app, even then the play/pause button doesn't do anything. Only the individual play and pause buttons work : Huawei mate 20 pro, Android 10, Huawei Emui 10
