modify mods in DCS

Do you know how to modify the model in DCS? For example, I want to add a light to the super aircraft carrier. Is this feasible? I mean, I import the model in DCS, add some gadgets, export it as .EDM and put it back in DCS.
No it is not possible. If it would be possible ED would do everything to block it.
