Where it says: "tmate also depends on a couple of packages. On Ubuntu, the packages are:
git-core build-essential pkg-config libtool libevent-dev libncurses-dev zlib1g-dev automake libssh-dev cmake ruby "
It should mention also libmsgpack-dev
