[Feature]: Implement an Explore Page for Community-Shared Drawings

princetechs opened this issue · comments

What's the feature?

Objective

To enhance the collaborative and community aspects of tldraw, I propose adding an "Explore" page. This page would allow users to view, react to, and fork publicly shared drawings from the community. This feature would transform tldraw into a more interactive platform, fostering a more vibrant community of creators who inspire and build upon each other's work.

Features

  1. Public Gallery: A new page where all drawings shared by users are displayed. These can be filtered by popularity, newness, or tags/categories if applicable.
  2. Interactions: Users can like, comment on, or fork drawings. This interaction can serve as feedback and encouragement and facilitate community growth.
  3. Privacy Settings: Users can choose to share their drawings publicly on the Explore page or keep them private.
  4. Link Sharing: Each drawing will have a unique link for easy sharing and direct access outside of the Explore page.

Benefits

  • Community Engagement: Increases user engagement and interaction within the tldraw platform.
  • Inspiration and Innovation: Encourages users to derive inspiration from others’ work and add their creative touches.
  • Visibility: Provides artists and creators with a platform to showcase their work to a broader audience.

Implementation Considerations

  • User Privacy and Security: Implement robust privacy settings to ensure users control over their content.
  • Scalability: Ensure the feature is scalable, capable of handling a significant increase in user-generated content without degrading performance.
  • Moderation: Develop mechanisms to moderate content to prevent the sharing of inappropriate material.
