Poor performance in large text documents

I feel like we've been through this already, but once again, there seems to be a performance issue.
Now, the cursor behaves okay, but once you start typing the problem becomes apparent. Just take one large text file, hold a letter on the keyboard and watch the cursor stutter, as the word counter runs every so often.

It may be minor, but is still endlessly irritating when you're typing.

Hey, yeah I just tested with a document having 1 millon words and seems like the cursor would lag when typing, I no longer use the package, the problem seems to be live word count, silly it doesnt have a mode that you could run a command to just update the count once in a while. Im going to archive the repository because I wont be working on this
