why not

?

Sorry, for missing a better description. Implemention such a feature requires quite some efforts:

  • Adding a player and create synthetic sound
  • Find a good UI, which does not distract, and is consistent with the rest.
  • And it is a bit reverse of a tuner: instead of recording sound, it plays sound, so it feels a bit off-topic.
I still understand that this might be helpful for a tuner since it can help to find the correct tone quicker. But compared to the required additional code, I prefer putting the time in other things. At least at the moment :-).

Please add tone/tuning fork feature. I think, the UI for that could be, when user click tone, then that tone play.

What do you think about my idea of the UI above? I think it's very consistent.

I can't see this. Tuning with own ears are very common task and belongs to tuners. It's e.g. making tuning quicker. Almost every tuner has this feature and this is the major flaw of this tuner.

Also, I think tuner is not only for tuning. It's tool for all pitch/note tasks. You can monitor and check major notes of song with it, you can train your ears with it and so on... pretty much every pitch things...

I hope you can reconsider this a bit.
