my fix didnt work, removed.
as i see from the comments, it shouldn't be hard to fix, https://github.com/pop-os/gtk-theme/pull/506/files
but gtk guys being really crazy with hardcoding adwaita stuff everywhere lately resulting in fact what nowadays on windows or mac it's much easier to customize the visual aspect of your desktop - great job, on "improving" end-user desktop experience lol
the biggest problem what they're not real opensource project but just a team inside redhat/ibm, so they follow corporate rules instead of common sense -- and if people from design theme pushing towards hardcoding their design materpiece everywhere, and people from toolkit/libs are lazy to write normal code instead of relying on hardcoded secret values from that theme -- such way of working is ok for them
