is there anyway to get these working 100%?
The problem is that the switching technology for MacBooks between dedicated and integrated graphics is different than most Windows laptops.
The technique used on the Dell XPS is nvidia Optimus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nvidia_Optimus)
The only potentially possible way to do this is disabling the integrated graphics through the BIOS so that only the nvidia card is active. This requires first unlocking the BIOS and subsequently updating the settings.
I have not tried this yet, as there might be risks associated with it (display loss, requiring BIOS reset, i.e. opening the laptop), but do let me know if you do.
