Coil Whine & Potential Fixes

When installing OSX, I realized that compared to my current Linux install, the coil whine was a lot worse, extremely audible with varying pitches. However, I found out while messing with VoltageShift that disabling turbo boost somehow took away a lot of the audible noise, but videos and scrolling still hand annoying whining. Undervolting didn't seem to help too much though.

Also, if there is some way to manage GPU PM or at least tweak it, perhaps we have a chance to get coil whine down to OS X or Windows level?

If anybody has had any alternative methods of reducing coil whine, let me know!

Also, it seems like different layout-ids for AppleALC would result in different sounding coil whine, although all as equally bad.

Looks like as stated in an earlier issue (i forgot where), installing combojack removes all the issues with coil whining, although I'm not sure why. Thank you very much for your contributions to the hackintosh community! I'll go ahead and close this issue.
