What happened?
Attempting to call the docker compose example with a local compose file as below:
compose, err := tc.NewDockerCompose("docker-compose.yaml")
if err != nil {
panic(err)
}
err = compose.Down(context.Background(), tc.RemoveOrphans(true), tc.RemoveImagesLocal)
if err != nil {
panic(err)
}
ctx, cancel := context.WithCancel(context.Background())
err = compose.Up(ctx, tc.Wait(true))
if err != nil {
panic(err)
}
return cancel
results in Go build errors:
# github.com/docker/compose/v2/internal/tracing
..\..\..\..\go\pkg\mod\github.com\docker\compose\v2@v2.24.3\internal\tracing\attributes.go:73:75: proj.IncludeReferences undefined (type *"github.com/compose-spec/compose-go/v2/types".Project has no field or method IncludeReferences)
Cloning the repo and updating 4 packages in the modules/compose
go.mod file fixes this error. The packages updated to the latest are:
github.com/compose-spec/compose-go/v2
github.com/docker/cli
github.com/docker/compose/v2
github.com/docker/docker
Relevant log output
# github.com/docker/compose/v2/internal/tracing

hey @morris-kelly I have this repro project that works with the both latest release of the project and the main branch: https://github.com/mdelapenya/testcontainers-go-compose
Could you please take a look?
@mdelapenya latest version seems to fix this. Happy to close the issue.
