[BUG] KG - for full DVDs, mediainfo is inputted into Rip Specs instead of KG's DVDRip template

  • I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

easy-upload puts the mediainfo in the "Rip Specs" section on KG, but for a full DVD, KG wants you to fill out their DVD template instead of entering in the mediainfo

Help text on the upload form:

For DVD/Blu-Ray uploads you need to use the DVD/Blu-Ray template which will be automatically pasted when you select "DVDR" or "Untouched BluRay" below. It may also be found in the rules page. Please make sure the Video_TS/BDMV folder has a parent directory.

Template:

DVD label: ?
DVD5 / DVD9 ?
DVD Format: NTSC / PAL ?
DVD Audio: Codec (AC3, DTS, PCM) ?, Channels (1.0, 2.0 or 5.1) ?
Program(s): Program(s) used to rip/customize the DVD ?
Menus: Untouched / Reencoded / Removed ?
Video: Untouched / Reencoded / Removed ?
Audio: Untouched / Reencoded / Removed ?
DVD extras: Untouched / Reencoded / Removed ?
Extras contain: (Making of / Interviews / Trailer(s) etc.) ?
DVD runtime(s) (main feature and extras): 00:00:00 (hours:minutes:seconds) ?

Expected Behavior

When uploading a full DVD, instead of inputting the mediainfo into the Rip Specs section, use KG's template as instructed

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Transfer a full DVD (DVD5/DVD9 VIDEO_TS) to KG
  2. Notice that mediainfo output is in the Rip Specs section instead of KG's DVD template

Environment

- Browser:Microsoft Edge
- Browser Version:Version 100.0.1190.0 (Official build) Canary (arm64)
- Script manager extension:Tampermonkey
- easy-upload version:3.1.5

@adamwinn Is this a rule must be followed?I found some torrents use mediainfo before.

I assume so. They list that rule right there on the upload form under the rip specs textarea. I haven't asked staff if mediainfo is OK tho.

On the upload page, it also says

For film/TV rips you need to include the full MediaInfo output for the files.

So it sounds like if it's an encode, they want the mediainfo output. If it's a full DVD or BluRay, they want the template.
