In Atom their are contributors at both feed and entry level, an extension could add a role field so that it would be more useful.
Also I wonder if a weight could be attached, or another way to ensure a order when displayed.
Existing reference for RSS:
+1 for weighting or other flag indicating who the most important entities are. (i.e. who you'd display in a small ui vs larger ui)
As with #16, I would prefer to standardize on using <media:credit> with EBU roles. Where there are no EBU roles defined for the particular role we want to talk about, we could define our own list and make it usable via <media:credit>
