XDM addon downloads .md files instead of viewing Github text files in-browser

Describe the bug
Attempting to view many different text files on github downloads a very hard-to-read .md file when the browser extension is installed on Firefox (developer edition).
To Reproduce
- Have XDM v8+ Browser Helper installed on Firefox (developer edition).
- Click on a link to a text file in a Github repo, e.g. https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/blob/master/doc/window.md#fullscreen
- See a file with the name of the file with .md appended, e.g. window.md, be downloaded by XDM.
Expected behavior
I expected to be able to read the files in-browser as happens without the addon installed/enabled.

- XDM Version: 8.0.29 BETA
Generated log using below method
Attempted to use provided log gen method; when I entered "java-runtime\bin\java" -jar xdman.jar it returned the error The system cannot find the path specified.
Additional context
I tested on a separate Firefox profile with only the addon installed; it still happened.
