Connecting slowly on Windows

Describe the bug
The connection takes very long to establish and opening a new terminal takes quite some time too. I don't have the same problem using other SSH clients or on Linux.
The problem seems to be the Java runtime delivered with the program. If I use the Java binaries I have installed myself, it runs far better.
