How to access provider options

Hi, I'm trying to use this component for storage. I'm trying to be able to use amazon s3 with programmatic Iam users. So my first problem is that I need sub folders, I know this is an open issue, but my question isn't that, my question is how to access the provider options. This is all I need to be able to control the folders by amazon's key attribute or prefix. However I'm not sure where I can plug into in order to access these and change them when needed. Is there documentation on this that I'm missing or could it be explained?
