Old notifications don't show in Notification Center

(Probably related to issue #122)
The notifications created by this app disappear from the OSX Notification Center.

Even on explicitly specifying at System Preferences -> Notifications that the last 20 (default was 5 I think) notifications from this app should be shown in Notification Center, I wasn't able to see any of the old notifications.
