Access storage with GCP storage account

Is it possible to access storage with a Google Cloud Platform service account,
firebase-storage@system.gserviceaccount.com?
When you create the AuthenticationheaderValue("firebase", authstring)
What does firebase expect for the authString? A JWT? Can I get an auth token from your FirebaseClient?
