Unable to manually change light state

I'm having a similar issue to #62
Whenever Kelvin is active (either via scene or enableWhenLightsAppear being set TRUE), I am unable to manually change the brightness/color of lights, unless I first turn a light off with the Hue app. The attached log shows activating the Kelvin scene, then attempting a manual change.
